All Sky Search
What are we trying to find with Einstein@Home?
Einstein@Home looks at data from an "all-sky pulsar search." This is not a search for gravitational waves from the pulsars shown on the screen saver, but a search for gravitational waves coming from objects that we don't already know about.
Eventually Einstein@Home might be used for other searches, but the all-sky search needs the most computer processing and is the best use of the computer power people are donating.
