Take some time on Valentine's Day to reflect more deeply on what is important: chocolate. A scanning electron microscope has treated us with this zoomed in view of chocolate candy.

Scanning electron microscopes shoot beams of electrons that the a sample, such as chocolate, will reflect. Heavier atoms reflect more electrons than lighter atoms, and this allows scientists to detect chemical variations in a sample.
